Prime minister Trudeau attended a world summit on raising funds for testing and research in the battle against COVID-19 and didn’t have to leave his office.
The virtual summit saw world leaders pass the hat and Trudeau didn’t let it go by without tossing in $850 million.
He said that is just the beginning with more to come in this collaboration to fight the virus.
” In the fight against COVID 19 our focus will always be here at home, but this is a global challenge. To keep Canadians safe and restart our economy, we need to defeat this virus, not just inside our borders but wherever it is found “.
The funding will go to several world health organizations.
