Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced at today’s briefing that a deal has been reached with the Provinces to top up the wages of some essential workers.
He says $4 billion will be placed in a fund with the feds paying 75 per cent, and that money will go to workers in long term care facilities.
He says the threshold will be workers earning less than 2500 a month.
Trudeau will speak with all the premier’s tonight.
