The Youth Employment and Skills Program is getting a $9.2 million dollar boost.
The federal government is hoping to help organizations who’ve experience labour shortages due to the pandemic, and they’re encouraging employers to hire youth ages 15-30.
Up to 50% of the cost of hiring a Canadian youth will be covered by the program, and funds are retroactive to April 1st.
Agri-businesses and producers that are interested in applying can do so online.
Applicants are asked to e-mail [email protected] or call 1-866-452-5558.
