Arrest Made In Ridgetown Baseball Bat Attack

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest in connection with the assault of 2 men in Ridgetown early Sunday morning.

Three men busted into a Victoria Avenue residence and beat the men with baseball bats.

The men sustained serious injuries.

On Monday police identified one of the men and arrested him.

A 33 year old Ridgetown man was charged with break and enter commit aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was released with an August court date.

Police continue to look for the other 2 and say this was not a random act.
