There are currently no COVID-19 patients admitted to Bluewater Health in Sarnia.
However 3 staff members have tested positive so this morning an outbreak was declared.
In a release the hospital executives say they have had as many as 15 staff members testing positive at one time but under new regulations from the province had to make the declaration.
Under new guidelines, 2 cases within a 14 day period now constitutes an outbreak.
Over the next 48 hours they will determine appropriate next steps to ensure continued care and safety of both our staff and patients.
