VIA rail is changing its COVID-19 policies starting Tuesday.

The passenger rail service released a statement saying as things open up across the country ridership is also increasing again.

Given that, starting tomorrow passengers will be required to wear a mask at all times.

Even when in the station, preparing to board the train, and whenever social distancing is not possible.

All VIA employees who interact with the public are also required to wear a mask at all times.

Passengers are asked to bring their own masks as the railway will have a limited number of disposable masks.
