A 24 year old Chatham man is facing serious charges following a domestic assault on the weekend.
CK police say they learned the man assaulted his girlfriend who required medical assistance.
They say the man then took a machete and damaged property in the home.
He has been charged with assault, aggravated assault, uttering threats, and weapons dangerous.
He was held pending a bail hearing.
