No New COVID-19 Cases In C-K Thursday, Total Case Count Goes Down

C-K Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday for the first time in recent memory.
In fact Chatham-Kent’s total number of COVID cases has actually decreased from 337 to 336.
A Public Health officer has confirmed this decrease was due to the identification of a false positive case. No confirmation on whether or not this was the initial CKHA employee who has determined to be a false positive.
The active case load is down to 77, from Wednesday’s 85. That’s eight more recoveries confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Four Chatham-Kent residents remain in hospital while 257 cases are now recovered.

Public Health continues to list current outbreaks at two C-K workplaces, although it is not confirmed what those locations are.

273 of C-K’s total 336 cases are close contact transmissions, while 24 are listed as travel-related.
The province is reporting 78 new cases today in Ontario.
