Thousands of Charges Laid over Labour Day Weekend

The OPP have released the totals from Labour Day weekend on the Ontario’s highways.

Authorities laid 5800 speeding charges province-wide, 157 charges for stunt driving, and 250 people were caught not wearing their seat belts.

Another 110 charges were laid for impaired driving, and 98 tickets handed out for distracted driving.

Three people were killed in one fatal collision involving an off-road vehicle.
