A 24-year-old Dresden man faces multiple charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon.
After initiating a traffic stop on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg, police learned the driver was wanted for being in possession of a stolen dirt bike from Dresden and was suspended from driving for unpaid fines.
The man was arrested and upon being searched was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Further investigation revealed that the license plates were not authorized for the vehicle and that there was cannabis in the vehicle.
The 24-year-old Dresden man was charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and drug possession. He was additionally charged with driving with cannabis readily available, driving while under suspension, use plate not authorized for the vehicle and driving with no validation on plate. He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court at a later date.
