CK Public Health is reporting 12 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, along with three C-K residents in hospital with the virus.
Parents are also reporting that some members of the school community at Chatham-Kent Secondary School in Chatham are now being isolated due to a probable case of COVID-19.
The active case count, which was down to zero for a brief period of time just ten days ago has now jumped to 26.
The health unit says two cases have been added to the recovery list.
Chatham-Kent has now had 400 total cases during the pandemic with 371 recoveries and three deaths.
There are still two active outbreaks listed on public health’s website. A place of worship in Blenheim was reported last week along with a workplace outbreak that affected one local positive case.
Of the municipality’s 26 active cases, 15 are linked to an outbreak in a community setting, 10 are close contact transmissions and one transmission is pending.
Ontario reported 851 new cases across the province on Monday, down from Sunday’s record-smashing 1,042 new infections.
Lambton County confirmed one new case and seven active cases on Monday. Middlesex-London added 11 new infections with 66 active cases. Windsor-Essex has 2 new cases and 32 active cases.
