One of Chatham’s most popular downtown restaurants will be closed for the next couple of weeks because of an exposure to COVID-19.

Mamma Maria’s Ristorante announced Friday night on their Facebook page they had been informed of the exposure by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit.

In the statement the restaurant officials said ” all proper testing and or isolation was being done and for the health and safety of our staff and patrons we have made the decision to be proactive in this matter and close the restaurant for two weeks.”

That means they would reopen the doors on November 13th.
