Ontario May Drop Quarantine Period For Travelers

Ontario Premier Doug Ford may scrap the the mandatory 14-day quarantine period for international travel.
The Premier is asking the federal government to consider replacing the quarantine measure with rapid COVID-19 testing.
At his press conference on Monday, Ford said Ontario would move forward with its own implementation if the federal government opts against it.
The rapid testing would see those traveling tested immediately upon arrival, with a second test “five or six days later” if required.
Alberta has begun a similar pilot project at the Calgary International Airport and the Coutts border crossing. In this case, those tested still have to quarantine until they receive a negative test result, but still need to take a second test.
