Ontario Considering Extended Winter Break, Remote Learning

It’s looking more and more possible that Ontario students may have an extended winter break or take part in remote learning following the holidays.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says he is talking with health officials and discussing solutions that could include a period of time out of the classroom in the new year.
Although no decision has yet been made, Lecce will announce a plan in the next week or two.
An extension to the winter break and/or remote learning in the new year seem to be the two most likely outcomes at the moment.
The province is reporting 3,518 positive cases of the coronavirus in Ontario schools as of Tuesday with 670 schools across the province reporting at least one case.
