A Chatham long term care home is reporting another case of COVID-19 among its staff.

Riverview Gardens says it was notified by Public Health on January first that another employee had tested positive, but says the newest case is not linked to any previous cases in the facility.

All residents in the existing outbreak units (2 East, 4 East, 4 West, and 6 West) have been tested and staff are tested weekly.

The municipally-run home is one of three institutional outbreaks in Chatham-Kent, the others affecting Village on the Thames retirement residence, and Copper Terrace nursing home.
