Charges have been laid after a replica Maple Leafs Stanley Cup ring was stolen from a convenience store in Chatham.
The ring and a folding knife were taken during a robbery at Queen’s Variety around 6 last night.
Authorities say the accused punched and kicked the cashier before fleeing the scene, but was later identified and arrested.
The employee wasn’t seriously hurt.
The 18-year-old suspect is charged with robbery and possession of stolen property.
