Sarnia police are investigating the third murder of this new year.
Saturday night around 6:30 police and fire fighters responded to a call in the 200 block of Essex Street where a women’s body was discovered.
Police have now identified the victim as 66 year old Sue Elin Lumsden.
The Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over and is treating the residence as a crime scene.
Unlike with the first 2 murders of 2021, this time police are warning residents to make sure they keep their doors and windows locked, and leave outside lights on during the evening hours.
