The Chatham-Kent Public Health unit is investigating an outbreak at Lambton Kent Composite School in Dresden. The outbreak was declared on January 26th, and Public Health spokesman Jeff Moco says two staff members at the school have tested positive.
Although students are learning from home during the provincial lockdown, Moco says staff are still working in the building to conduct online classes and other activities related to facility management.
The Lambton Kent District School Board isn’t updating its COVID information online as long as students are learning from home.
Meantime, the number of cases associated with the outbreak at Wallaceburg’s Fairfield Park has grown to 23. There are still ongoing outbreaks at Tilbury Manor and Meadow Park nursing home, each involving one staff member.
Another new outbreak has been declared in a congregate living setting as well.
