Municipal council will discuss the next steps in dealing with Erie Shore Drive flooding and erosion issues tonight.
To make improvements the municipality is looking at going through the province’s drainage act to find out how improvements to Erie Shore Drive will look like and cost.
Council will look to approve a request of proposal to hire an engineering consultant to make a preliminary report to consider better use, maintenance and repair of any drainage works within the Burk Drainage Scheme.
A preliminary report is thought to be the most logical approach because it will include high-level design concepts and cost estimates for the proposed work and how much landowners will have to pay.
