COVID Outbreak Continues to Spread at Fairfield Park

The COVID outbreak at Wallaceburg’s Fairfield Park has risen to 59 cases, up from 55 on Monday.

Public Health, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, and other partner agencies continue to do what they can to support the long term care facility as it tries to prevent any further spread.

Overall, Chatham-Kent’s active cases have dipped to 119 with six new infections being reported today along with 23 recoveries.

The outbreaks at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and LKCS in Dresden are holding steady with no new infections reported.

There are still two ongoing outbreaks at Meadow Park in Chatham and Tilbury Manor with one positive staff case in each facility.

Public Health is also keeping tabs on two workplace outbreaks and one outbreak in a congregate living setting.

Windsor-Essex is reporting 10 additional deaths linked to COVID-19 and 35 new infections.

Lambton County, meantime, has just three new COVID cases today, and the active caseload has dipped to just 68.
