A dramatic rescue on the shore of Lake Erie.
Police were called to Talbot Trail, west of Merlin Town Line yesterday morning about a man in crisis.
Officers followed footprints in the snow to the edge of the bluff, and using a drone were able to locate the man at the bottom of the cliff.
Two officers scaled the bluff and provide some treatment, saying the man was suffering from hypothermia.
The US Coast Guard was called in from Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan, and the victim was air-lifted to hospital in London.
The two officers, meantime, were able to make their way back to solid ground on their own.
