The municipality is reminding residents that with warmer weather coming, to make sure you always pick up after your pooch.

They point out it’s a common courtesy to others using the same area whether it’s a city park or a dog park.

If that’s not enough of motivation there is a “pooper scooper” law on the books.

It’s called the Responsible Animal Ownership bylaw, and calls for anyone walking a dog that doesn’t clean up after it, can be fined $240 dollars.
