Nine New COVID Cases in CK

A slight uptick in Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers today with nine new cases. That brings the total active caseload to 34 across the municipality.

A positive case has been identified in a student at St Anne’s Catholic School in Blenheim, however officials say the person isn’t attending classes right now and there there is no impact to the school itself and no students or staff have been dismissed as a result.

The two outbreaks at the Health Alliance are holding steady with no new infections reported.

Another Windsor-Essex resident has died of COVID-19. The region’s public health unit is also adding 24 new confirmed cases.

In Lambton County, just five new cases have been reported.

Across Ontario, there are 1185 new cases being reported along with six more deaths linked to the virus.
