A local artist is donating two unique paintings to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Paula Loxton, who now lives in Sarnia but was born and raised in Wallaceburg, is donating the paintings which portray front-line workers as angels with boxing gloves on, to say thanks for all that hospital workers have done and sacrificed in the past year.
Loxton, who was a familiar face at local nursing homes singing for residents, said the past year has been tough for her, losing family and friends, so painting has become her therapy and a way to show how much she appreciates front-line health care workers.
One of the paintings will go to the Wallaceburg hospital and the other to the Chatham hospital. Loxton will officially give the paintings to the CKHA on Thursday.
