Over 300 pharmacies across Ontario have been selected to dole out the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine.

The official details are coming in a provincial news conference early this afternoon, but Rexall has announced some of its stores in Windsor-Essex have been selected and already have a waiting list.

Ontario’s first shipment of the Oxford-AstraZeneca drug comes with an expiry date of April 2nd, so the rush is on to get shots in arms as quickly as possible.

The pharmacy pilot project is expected to launch on Friday, targeting residents aged 60 to 64.
