First Asymptomatic Testing Site For CK Schools

The local school boards’ voluntary asymptomatic testing for students and staff is expanding to Chatham-Kent.

The first clinic was set up at Sarnia’s Great Lake Secondary School this past weekend. Now, plans are in the works for testing to be held at UCC in Chatham this Sunday from 9am to 3pm.

Testing will be offered to students and staff from UCC, Tecumseh Public School, Monsignor Uyen, and Ecole Sainte-Marie. The Growing Together Family Resource Centre, YMCA child care, and Tilbury Tots are also included.

Deb Crawford, Director of Education for the St Clair Catholic District School Board says students and staff from other schools are also welcome to get tested, if they wish.

The province’s ultimate goal is to have 5% of schools in each board tested every week.
