CKHA Working on 2021-24 Strategic Plan

Even during a pandemic, the day to day operations continue for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

President and CEO Lori Marshall says that includes moving forward with the strategic plan for the hospitals in Chatham and Wallaceburg.

“Looking forward for three years what is it we can do and how can we adapt and change our services,” Marshall says.

Marshall says they’ll be looking for input from area residents and other health partners to determine what the community needs moving forward.

She says input from residents helps to set the path for future services. She points to a man who told her he’d been riding his bike to Sarnia to see a urologist. Now, three years later, urology services have returned to CKHA, eliminating the need for patients to travel for treatment.

“It’s these kinds of stories and impacts that we ant to understand so we know what we can do to make a change in the next three years to be able to respond to our community’s needs.”
