The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has confirmed today they are postponing all non emergency surgeries and procedures immediately.
This has already led to cancellations this week. The move comes at the request of the Ministry of Health, as the numbers of new cases of COVID-19 continue to rise.
This is putting pressure on ICU’s across Ontario. If you had a surgery of procedure on the books you will be contacted by your doctor’s office. These postponements are expected to continue for the coming weeks.
