CK Records its 14th COVID-Related Death

Chatham-Kent has marked its 14th death of the pandemic

Public Health says a man in his 60s passed away at the Health Alliance on Tuesday.

In all, there are now 37 active cases of COVID-19 in the municipality with 4 new positives and 1 case resolved since yesterday’s update.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, there are nine COVID-positive patients being treated, two of whom are in the ICU.

There are now a total of 9 COVID cases linked to the outbreak in the hospital’s Medicine Unit, including 4 inpatients, 4 discharged patients, and one visitor.

Province-wide, the Ministry of Health is reporting 1588 new cases with a positivity rate of 5.2%. 19 more Ontarians have died because of the virus.
