Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers have dipped to their lowest mark since early March.

Public Health says there are now just 20 active cases of the virus in the municipality with one new case reported today and five resolutions.

Vaccination efforts continue to roll along with more than 51,000 total doses administered across the municipality. Officials say an estimated 52% of Chatham-Kent’s population 12 and older have now received at least their first dose.

Tilbury residents 18 and older can still book a spot at tomorrow’s mobile clinic being held at the Tilbury and District Family Health Team offices. To book an appointment, call 519-682-2307 x303.

Another clinic is being held at the Chatham-Kent Community Health Centre in Wallaceburg next Thursday with some appointments still up for grabs. To register for that clinic, call 519-397-5455 x322.

Public Health is currently booking second doses up to June 19th, and officials say they’re hoping to add more dates soon.
