Council Discussing Naming Rights

Strategy would bring in new revenue for 2022 Budget

Chatham Kent Council will be discussing approval of Phase One of their naming right strategy at tonight’s council meeting.

The process includes adopting a new corporate sponsorship policy and updating the commemorative naming policy.

There are 6 properties in CK that council are focusing on available for sponsorship all of which are in Chatham.

They include 2 parks, 2 arenas, the Capital Theatre and the Chatham library.

Once phase 1 is approved phase 2 is actually putting the naming rights up for sale.

The move is being taken to create a new revenue stream for Chatham Kent’s 2022 budget.
