Arrest Made Following Vandalism in Dresden

An arrest has been made in connection to vandalism in downtown Dresden over the long weekend.

Authorities were called to St George Street early Monday morning about a suspicious person, and found several storefront windows had been smashed.

Thanks to video surveillance, police were able to get an image of the suspect, and spotted the accused walking just outside town.

The 43-year-old Wallaceburg man, who police say was also wanted for failing to attend court, has been charged with seven counts of mischief under $5000. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
