Pride Week launches in Chatham-Kent today for 20th Year

Range of events being held across Municipality for Pride Week

Pride Week 2021 launched in Chatham-Kent with a flag raising at Dresden Town Hall and at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Pride flag raising in CK.

There are a wide range of events planned throughout the municipality including:

  • The History of Pride window display Tuesday at Art Space in Chatham
  • Pride Trivia Night on Facebook from the CK Public Library Wednesday from 6 until midnight
  • Thursday Chatham-Kent Children Services  “Pride in CK” BBQ from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at 425 Grand Ave. W in Chatham
  • Virtual Pride Drag Queen Show Friday starting at 8pm. Registration required by emailing [email protected]
  • “Drag Queen Story Time with Fay and Fluffy” Saturday from the Chatham-Kent Public Library. Registration required.
  • CK Pride Bonfire Saturday night from 8pm until midnight with special guest Estella performing from 8 until 8:30pm at 21118 Base Road in Blenheim
  • St. Andrews United Church hosting a Sunday Pride Worship Service at 85 William Street South in Chatham (and on their Facebook page)
