Whether it’s concern over COVID-19 or just a preference, hundreds of students are opting for remote learning instead of returning to the classroom when the new school year begins next month.
According to the Lambton-Kent District School Board 650 students will learn from home, 350 elementary and 300 Secondary students.
For the St. Clair Catholic District School Board the numbers are lower with 105 elementary students and 115 secondary students planning to learn from home.
The school year begins September 7th
