High water levels continue to cause issues along the Lower Thames Valley watershed.
Conservation Authority officials waterways in some areas have already spilled their banks, and although no major flooding is expected in the Thamesville area, flooding is expected to be unusually high for this time of year, more similar to what we’d typically see in the spring.
LTVCA staff are preparing to operate the 6th Street Dam in downtown Chatham today to protect the south side of the city.
Meantime, on the shores of Lake Erie, flood water has covered parts of Erie Shore Drive and the public is asked to avoid the area.
