CK Council Approves Vaccine Policy

Although there are no plans in place to resume in-person council meetings, Chatham-Kent council voted at their online meeting on Monday in support of a COVID-19 vaccination policy for mayor and council, as well as citizen volunteer committees and boards.

The policy is similar to the Chatham-Kent employee policy, if someone is not fully vaccinated they will be required to provide proof of a negative test within three days prior to in-person meetings. The tests will have to be done on their own time and on their own dime.

Council hasn’t met in-person since March of 2020.
