CK Police Officer Charged with Domestic Related Offences

Investigation has been taken over by the Windsor Police to ensure impartiality surrounding the investigation

A Chatham-Kent police officer has been charged following an investigation of intimate partner violence.

On November 11th the officer was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal harassment.

The officer was held in custody and released today pending a court date on December 7th.

To ensure impartiality surrounding the investigation, the Chatham-Kent Police requested assistance from the Windsor Police. As a result the Windsor Police have taken over the investigation.

No further information was released by the police in order to protect the identity of the victim, integrity of the investigation and subsequent criminal court process along with pending Police Services Act investigation.

The officer is currently suspended from duty with pay.
