The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is asking the local community for its input regarding the reconstruction of an intersection in the Community of Raleigh.
The municipality is moving forward with a project to make improvements to the Queen’s Line and Merlin Road intersection and will be hosting a virtual public information centre on the Let’s Talk CK website from December 2 to December 23. Residents will be able to submit questions or comments about the project during that time.
CK recently retained an engineering consultant to examine the intersection and assess two alternate designs, in an effort to improve safety and efficiency. These intersection alternatives include reconstructing the intersection with a roundabout or reconstructing the intersection with left-turn lanes on Queen’s Line and a traffic signal.
Residents will be given a chance to review an evaluation report during the online information centre, which will outline the consultant’s analysis and recommendations.
Information packages about the project can also be obtained by calling (519)-360-1998 or emailing [email protected].
