Natural Heritage Committee in Fact Finding Mode

Chatham-Kent’s Natural Heritage Committee of the Whole will meet up again tonight in an online meeting.

As the committee, which is made up of Chatham-Kent council members, continues their work on woodlot preservation in the municipality, they are still in their early stages and are in fact-finding mode.

They will be presented with three reports tonight, including hearing what the public thinks is the best way to go forward, through the results and feedback of a woodlot public engagement survey.

Other reports will include a report on natural heritage planning under the provincial policy statement, as well as a summary of tree and woodlot related information.
