Impaired Driving Charges Laid Following Single-Vehicle Crash

A crash in Chatham has led to several charges for a Windsor man.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the man was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Huffs Side Road near Longwoods Road at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Police arrested the man after he was found to be prohibited from driving. He also allegedly refused to provide a breath sample to officers, who believed he was under the influence.

Following a search of the man’s vehicle, officers also allegedly seized suspected methamphetamine.

A 22-year-old Windsor man is now charged with impaired driving-related offences and drug possession. He was released with a court date on February 3.
