A winter weather travel advisory is in place with as much as 5-10 cm of snow expected overnight and into tomorrow morning.
An advisory from Environment Canada says a low pressure system is moving into the region tonight.
“Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly,” the statement reads. “Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
Motorists are warned to expect hazardous conditions, including the potential for reduced visibility with blowing snow.
