A civilian member of the Chatham-Kent Police Service has once again been nominated for the Police Service Hero of the Year Award.
Kristine Jarvis works in the police information centre, and has supported a number of causes over the years. Jarvis serves as a board member for Victim Services, and helps out with a number of community events, including the Polar Plunge, Shop with a Cop, toy and food drives, and events in support of the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre.
Jarvis won the Community Role Model award in 2020.
Nominations are open through March 14th for any member of an Ontario police force or 911 dispatchers, not including Toronto Police or the RCMP.
The winners for On-Duty Difference Maker (Sworn/Uniform), On-Duty Difference Maker (Civilian), and Community Role Model will be announced at the Police Association of Ontario’s annual general meeting in June.
