COVID Rolling Average Dips Slightly

The average number of new COVID cases in Chatham-Kent has slipped a few points.

According to the latest information from CK Public Health, the rolling seven-day average now sits at 17 new cases a day, down from 23 on Friday.

Four outbreaks remain active, three retirement homes and the medicine unit of the Health Alliance.

At CKHA, there are now 15 patients admitted with COVID-19, just three of whom are being treated primarily for the virus. There are no COVID patients in the ICU, and just one in the hospital’s Progressive Care Unit.

Across Ontario, there are 693 people hospitalized with COVID, 249 of whom are in intensive care.
