A 30-year-old man is facing charges after another man was assaulted in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a parking lot on Canal Street West after the assault occurred on Sunday at around 9 p.m.
The accused was arrested at the scene and police allege that officers discovered a controlled substance on him during a search.
As a result, a 30-year-old Tilbury man is now charged with two counts of assault and possession of a controlled substance. He has been released with a future court date next month.
