Spring Mini-ARTcrawl 2022

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace are excited to announce the return of the Mini-ARTcrawl. Mark Friday, March 25 on your calendar and join the galleries along with Art and Heirloom Shoppe, William Street Cafe, and The Co., in a festive evening of art and creativity in downtown Chatham between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
ARTspace

ARTspace is featuring the exhibition A Small Good Thing by Michaela Lucio. The artist will be present to speak about her practice drawn from photographs found in family albums. While at ARTspace, be sure to check out the Community Art Initiative “We Are Family,” along with the work of it’s incredible roster of local artists on display.
Art and Heirloom Shoppe
137 King St. W
Just a few storefronts away at the Art and Heirloom Shoppe, peruse the work of fifty-one great local artists. Two featured exhibits include fibre artist Jodie Edwards Wright’s collection of sculptural embroidery and Women in Power, an International Women’s Day celebration.

A short two-minute walk from King street is The Co., a community-based collaborative focusing on art and mental health. The current resident artist at Co. is Iain Rice. Rice is a CK photographer and the owner of Atomic Photography, specializing in fine art photography and digital art.
William Street Café

At William Street Café, enjoy the selection of curated “Spring” themed food and beverages. While enjoying your refreshments, Photographer Michael M. Garland will be present to speak about his exhibition Portraits of Trees in Chatham-Kent, featuring his iconic black and white silver gelatin prints.
Thames Art Gallery

At the Thames Art Gallery join us for conversational talks and tours throughout the evening. TAG’s Gallery Curator Phil Vanderwall invites you to experience I’ll Be Your Mirror. The international cast of artists assembled for this exhibition have one thing in common; they use their parents prominently in their practice. The multi-sensory work on display is poetic, endearing and often courageous in their vision.
ARTcrawl Raffle
ARTcrawl Passports will be available at all participating venues. Have your passport stamped, complete the circuit and be eligible for a draw at the Thames Art Gallery at 8:30 pm. The winning ticket will receive a $100 dollar prize.
