A Chatham man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said on Monday at around 9 a.m., officers received several calls about a domestic dispute near a Chatham business.
Following an investigation, it was learned that a man had been seen hitting and pushing his girlfriend.
As a result, a 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with assault. He will appear in court to answer the charge on April 27.
