St Clair College in Chatham is opening its doors to prospective students – virtually, at least.

John Fairley, VP of College Communications and Community Relations, says tomorrow’s open house, while online, still provides a good example of what college life is all about with introductions to various courses and virtual tours.

He says the experience can be particularly helpful for those looking to start a new career path.

“A lot of people with the pandemic, their lives have changed, they say they know what they don’t want to do anymore,” Fairley explains. “This gives us an opportunity with some of our fast-track programs. They can go to the Chatham campus and take a one year program or two year program, it doesn’t have to be four years anymore.”

Saturday’s event also includes information on scholarships and bursaries as well as a snapshot of student life and residences.

Everyone who registers is entered into a draw for 10 $1000 scholarships for the fall semester.

The virtual open house runs from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.  CLICK HERE to register.
