Three more Chatham-Kent residents have lost their lives to COVID-19.
Public Health officials say the latest victims include a male in his 60s, a woman in her 90s, and a man in his 90s
That brings to 62 the number of local residents who have succumbed to the virus since the pandemic began.
52 new high-risk infections are being reported today, bringing the seven-day average up to 13 new cases a day.
Two retirement residence outbreaks continue to grow with 24 cases now identified at Blenheim Community Village in the last three days, and 12 at Chatham Retirement Resort since March 20th. Public Health is also keeping tabs on a group home outbreak with 7 cases.
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, there are 6 COVID patients in hospital, just 3 of whom are being treated primarily for the virus.
Across Ontario, 667 COVID patients are hospitalized, 161 of whom are in intensive care.
