The local conservation authority has issued a flood outlook statement ahead of forecasted windy conditions.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority said there is a risk of flooding along Erie Shore Drive in Chatham-Kent Wednesday night and into Thursday, as well as shoreline damage along the Lake Erie shoreline.

Conservation officials said wind gusts between 40-65 km/h are possible during this time, along with waves of 1.5 metres in height.

Residents are advised to use caution and avoid the shoreline should conditions get rough.
