Mothers Supported Through Children’s Treatment Centre Campaign

The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent Foundation has launched a new campaign that recognizes the many mothers who need extra help.

The foundation’s Mother’s Day appeal kicked off on Monday to raise funds for the centre’s important therapy for children who have special needs within Chatham-Kent.

“This Mother’s Day, you can help local mothers and children by donating to the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation,” said CTC President Mike Genge. “Your donation will help other moms access special therapy for their precious children.”

Margaret Fast is one of the many mothers of children with special needs who require extra and turn to the Children’s Treatment Centre.

“As a mom, I will never give up on Kevin. And either will the Children’s Treatment Centre.” Fast said. “With the help of the very special people at the CTC-CK, Kevin learned to roll over, sit and eventually crawl. It wasn’t easy for him, but they never gave up on him. More importantly, he never gave up.”

The CTC-CK has been helping local families for over 70 years. In recent years, the number of children needing CTC-CK services has increased dramatically with 1 in 5 kids in Chatham-Kent using services provided by the Centre.

The Mother’s Day appeal runs from April 25 until May 20.
